SUMMARY:
Khartoum’s sit-in, which ignited its sparks during the Sudanese uprising of 2019, represents a one-of-a-kind state of urban democracy in terms of formulating a synergetic place-making process within local built-environment. Therefore, this talk will discuss mainly the role of collective memory created and took place there , the one that is responsible for comprehending the complex relationship between the physical reality versus the mental association of place-making meanings while encountering built-environment within cities as spectacle, as a panorama, and yet as a work of art.
