Learning through play is an effective way for children of all ages to make sense of the world around them. This engaging and stimulating approach can develop children’s social and cognitive skills and can help them mature emotionally and gain self-confidence. Inspired by this notion, LifetoSpaces has collaborated with the Ismailia Governorate to develop the first public edutainment park in Ismailia aimed at exposing children to new experiences and environments that will expand their knowledge of the world. Developed under the auspices of Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara, the Governor of Ismailia, Ismailia Knowledge Park houses 3 main edutainment installations designed by LifetoSpaces. Each targeting a specific area of knowledge, customized to the age it addresses; and each designed to provide creative and educational fun. At the Nature Adventure playscape, children learn about the natural elements air, water, fire and earth through hands-on activities, exciting challenges, and sensory stimulation.
At the Explore n’ Grow playscape, toddlers aged 2 to 6 use their fine and gross motor skills to explore an open-ended play space with steps, slides, tunnels, maze-like walls, and more. At Hello Careers, pre-teens and teens explore several exciting careers through a series of fun and interactive stations, giving them insight into various fields of work. The park also includes intelligently designed and strategically placed urban furniture that not only compliments the landscape design but gives supervising adults and parents the opportunity to monitor their children without interfering in their play time. Ismailia Knowledge Park aims at helping children develop cognitively, socially, and physically through thoughtfully designed and sustainably built installations that provide hours of fun, and through which children will grow, learn, and flourish.
